My favourite church in Palermo, San Domenico serves the faithful of Vucciria and honours many Palermitans notable throughout its 800-year history. The Priest was very patient and caring. It also refers to a traditional story that when St Dominic’s mother was pregnant, she dreamt of a dog running around the world with a torch, setting things on fire.
