The italian championship is a great event, as it assigns the “TRICOLORE” jersey which will be worne by the winner in all international daily races, and stage races, and such an event cannot be missed especially if it happens not far away from where you live. In this occasion all the top italian riders are joining the competition, because in case of victory that will add more value to a rider’s carreer.The day started off humid and wet, so the riders had to go slow to avoid crashes and injuries. A lot of colorful umbrellas were open by fans, and in some cases they were matching the jerseys of the participants, a really nice game of colors. Luckily at about 3 p.m. the sun got rid of the clouds and a bright day lighting people’s enthusiasm and cheering was just starting. The folklore got in full swing from the last 3 laps  and the food’s smell was envelopping the valley. Bier was flowing, and the chanting getting louder, I guess that even the riders though tired and concentrated were laughing in their hearts to see what was going on right on the edge of the road. It has been another fantastic day, a sort of full immersion in the passion of cycling, and cheering the riders who really did their best to achieve a remarkable performance, was really a great feeling.
